Juliette van Bavel Yoga

Juliette van Bavel is a dedicated artist. All through her youngest she drew, sketched, designed, took ballet classes, played musical instruments in orchestra’s, sang in the church choir, wrote poetry.

HSP (Highly Sensitive Person) learned her to withdraw and enter a secluded area.

At the Royal Academy of Arts she enrolled in 3D work, age 19. Juliette felt a strong preference for harder materials such as stone and metal. Through the years she pecialized in the crafts of carving stone, folding and bending metal and continues to work with them up to this day. In the past years she started to create large (kinetic) aluminum photographic sculptures that have been in high demand at sculpture parks. her abstract photography ( 2009) was the first of it’s kind. (see her latest serie: “Translucent Depts of Nature” She also stayed true to drawing and painting.

Writing she did since early childhood. Having a good sparring partner in her father, who was dedicated to literature and ethnology. While her mother (conductor & soloist singer) taught her to read and play music as of age 3. So Juliette spend the years throughout her childhood in weekly ballet classes, choirs and orchestra’s. In her free time drawing, reading, building wooden huts and creating plays with old dresses from great-grandmothers. She wrote ‘Parels van de Geliefde in 2009, translated into English: ‘Pearls of the Beloved’ (100 aphorisms, Sold out) and ‘Hemelse parels’ translated into ‘Heavenly Pearls’ (100 aphorisms).

After her dancing carrier suddenly stopped she was plunged into IT to restart and to support her art. It turned out to be a match. She held part-time positions for 10 years, varying from International Helpdesk Agent, Software tester and Webmaster. She worked at IBM, Aegon, ANWB, Ediport and IIAV . Juliette is stll enjoying building websites and designing. Nowadays she supports her art and awareness work by selling Eco Goodies based on earlier painting that are abstracted and digitalised.

As this moment she answers fully to the pull of AWARENESS since she feels strongly that that is were her dedication lies. She does this by: Creating & selling Fine Arts, teaching Yoga, giving Lectures, publishing Poetry
